Mailbox Service Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: March 25, 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern the mailbox services provided by Mailbox In USA (“MIU”) and accepted by the mailbox applicant (“Applicant”). By applying for or using MIU services, Applicant agrees to the following terms:
1. Appointment of MIU as CMRA
Applicant appoints Mailbox In USA (MIU) as their authorized Commercial Mail Receiving Agency (CMRA) for the receipt of mail and packages for the period covered by the rental fees paid in advance.
Applicant agrees to check their mailbox account online at least once per week by logging into www.mailboxinusa.com, unless other arrangements have been made in advance with MIU. MIU will upload and display received mail and package information to the Applicant’s online mailbox account.
2. Mail Delivery Disclaimer
MIU is not engaged in the transportation or delivery of mail and is not responsible for any failure or delay by the United States Postal Service (USPS) or any carrier to deliver mail or packages, or for items delivered late, lost, misdirected, or damaged.
3. Compliance With Laws and Postal Regulations
Applicant agrees to use MIU services in accordance with all applicable USPS regulations and all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Failure to comply may result in suspension or termination of service without notice, and may result in the loss of mailbox, mail scanning, or mail forwarding privileges. No refund will be provided in such cases.
4. Confidentiality and Disclosure
Information provided by Applicant will be kept confidential to the extent reasonably possible in the normal course of business.
However, Applicant understands and agrees that MIU may disclose information when required for postal operations, legal compliance, or law enforcement purposes. MIU intends to cooperate fully with lawful requests from city, county, state, or federal agencies, or their authorized representatives.
5. Identification and Required Documents
Each individual authorized to receive mail through MIU must complete USPS Form 1583 and provide two acceptable forms of identification, as required by USPS regulations.
Applicant agrees that no mail will be scanned or forwarded until MIU has received all required documents, including:
- A properly completed and notarized USPS Form 1583
- The required Acknowledgement Form
- Copies of two acceptable IDs
The original completed forms must be mailed to:
Attn: New Account
Mailbox In USA
5042 Wilshire Blvd.

6. Package and Parcel Delivery Rules
Applicant agrees that packages delivered to MIU for the Applicant must comply with MIU’s package acceptance rules.
The following conditions apply:
- Packages must be delivered by common carrier
- Oversized or freight deliveries may be refused
- MIU reserves the right to refuse packages that are too large, too heavy, improperly packaged, or otherwise unsuitable for handling or storage
- Packages must be retrieved, shipped, or otherwise arranged for handling within 48 hours after notice of delivery, unless otherwise approved by MIU
- Hazardous, dangerous, restricted, or prohibited materials may not be shipped to MIU
Failure to comply with any package handling rules may result in termination of service.
7. Fees and Payment
All MIU fees are due and payable in advance. Notices regarding fees, renewals, and service-related billing may be sent by email, and Applicant agrees that email notice is sufficient.
Failure to pay fees when due may result in interruption, suspension, or cancellation of service.
MIU does not provide refunds in the event of cancellation by Applicant.
8. Certified, Registered, Insured, and C.O.D. Mail
In accordance with USPS procedures, MIU may accept certified, registered, insured, or C.O.D. mail and parcels on behalf of Applicant.

- Unit
- Office
Applicant understands that USPS or other carriers may refuse delivery of mail that does not properly include the PMB or # designation.
Applicant is solely responsible for notifying all correspondents, senders, and service providers of the correct mailing address.
The mailing address to be used is:
Applicant’s Name or Business Name
5042 Wilshire Blvd. #_____
(or PMB _____ )

10. Mail Scanning and Forwarding Requirements
Applicant agrees that mail scanning and forwarding services will begin only after all required forms and identification documents have been properly submitted and approved by MIU.
MIU reserves the right to delay or refuse mail handling services until all account documentation has been completed.
11. Limitation of Liability
Applicant agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MIU from and against any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, losses, or causes of action arising out of or related to Applicant’s use of MIU’s services or facilities.
If MIU commits or fails to commit any act that results in a disruption of service and Applicant suffers a loss, MIU’s liability shall be limited to no more than the amount of mailbox rental fees paid by Applicant for services not yet received.
MIU shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
12. Service Termination and Mail Handling After Termination
If Applicant fails to pay rent or other fees in advance, or if services are terminated by either Applicant or MIU, MIU may withhold mail, packages, or related services until all outstanding balances are paid.
Applicant understands that USPS does not automatically forward mail from a CMRA mailbox and may not process a standard Change of Address request for this type of mailbox service.
If Applicant wishes to continue receiving mail after termination, Applicant must provide MIU with a valid forwarding address and pay all required forwarding and handling fees in advance.
If Applicant fails to provide forwarding instructions and payment, MIU may refuse future mail and may handle mail already received in accordance with applicable USPS regulations.
13. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an application, making payment, or using MIU services, Applicant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
